DPI held an online meeting with its Council of Experts to examine Turkey’s political dynamics ahead of the 2023 general elections. Participants — including columnists, politicians, journalists, and academics — discussed key actors, alliances, and the challenges and opportunities related to bringing the Kurdish issue and peace back onto the national agenda.
The discussion covered Turkey’s economic crisis, the political system, and possible election outcomes, with a focus on identifying ways to place peace at the center of political priorities. The group outlined potential scenarios and adapted DPI’s upcoming activities accordingly.
