Activist and founder of the Equality, Justice and Women Platform (SES), Gülseren Onanç, joined DPI in London to assess the current political situation in Turkey and the opportunities for advancing the Kurdish peace process. She highlighted the recent coalition among six opposition parties as a possible opening for change, alongside the growing demands of organised groups like women’s movements, LGBTQ+ activists, and youth. Onanç stressed that the upcoming elections could represent a narrow but vital window to push peace and democratic reforms onto the national agenda.
